Introduction
The Ultimate Ninja Tournament is a Project dedicated to create a competitive atmosphere to the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 Game. This tournament is about challenging individuals to unite and create a team that will fight against others to reach the top rank of the "Legendary Sannin." This is a great chance for anybody to become somebody. We hope to bring a diverse amount of tournaments with plenty of variety in the future if the community supports it. We intend these tournaments to be fun and enjoyable, while at the same time taken seriously.
Information
The first tournament is Team-Based. Each team will consist of 3 players. This tournament will have a limit of 16 teams making for 48 players per system. Each team will have a chance at being the number 1 team, but must go through several Elimination Rounds to achieve that rank. This Tournament is point-accumulative meaning that your teams ranking will be decided based on the points they have gathered throughout the tournament. This, along with ranking, will be explained in further detail below under the "Points and Ranking" section.
To bring about challenging obstacles, this tournament will include a Loser's Bracket. This means that even if your team loses while on your way to the finals, you still have a shot at coming right back to the top by coming out the winner of the Loser's Bracket.
When team spots fill up, teams get priority over Free Agents. We will have a waiting list as well just in case over time, some teams will become inactive and others can take their place.
Rules of Engagement
Character Selection
- You are free to change your character in between matches. However, you may not change your character from round to round.
- No duplicate characters are allowed on the same team.
- When choosing an opponent to fight in a match, avoid mirror match ups.
- Support characters are not limited and may be changed at any time allowed.
- Each team is limited to one Deidera, Sasori, Chiyo fighter per match. For example, if someone on your team uses Deidera, the other members cannot use Sasori or Chiyo for that match. This does not apply to support characters.
- Itachi is BANNED. This does not apply to support characters.
- In order to avoid any mishaps when selecting characters. These are verbal agreements between you and your opponent. You do not have to message me or anyone or post anywhere what characters you guys have selected. These are the following rules teams must follow:
- For the 1st match, the lower seeded team's (closer to the bottom of the bracket) first player will state which character he/she will use. His opponent will then state his choice.
- For the 2nd match, the higher seeded team's (closer to the top of the bracket) second player will state which character he/she will use. His opponent will then state his choice.
- For the 3rd match, the team with the least amount of rounds won in total must state their third character first.
Round of 16
- 16 teams will compete at this stage.
- There will be 3 matches played with 3 rounds per game for a total of 9 rounds per match.
- Each game will be played by a different member of each team.
- Whichever team has the most rounds won will win that match.
- If a player does not show to the match within 15 minutes of the agreed time, that game is counted as a forfeit and 3 rounds are awarded to the opposing team.
- If the whole team is absent or only 1 player of that team shows up, 1 point will be deducted from their overall points and the match is automatically won by the opposing team.
- If two players show up, they can play against their opponents with the regular rules attached. They will choose themselves who will face 2 opponents.
- Eight teams will advance and receive 2 team points and the other eight will be eliminated and receive 1 team point. [Scroll down to Points and Ranking section.]
Round of 8
- The same rules from The Round of 16 apply.
- Eight teams will compete at this stage.
- The four teams that advance will receive 1 team point, the losing teams will receive 0 team points.
- The 4 teams who lose will not be eliminated, but will create the losers bracket giving them the opportunity to advance to the the next round.
The Loser's Bracket
- The same rules from The Round of 16 apply.
- The teams that lose in the Round of 8 will create the Loser's Bracket.
- Those 4 teams will be paired against each other until a winner is decided.
- The winner will be added to the 4 semi-finalists creating a 5-Team Death-Match, and receive 1 team point.
Round of 5
- Five teams will compete at this stage, the four semi-finalists and the winners of the Loser's Bracket.
- Each team will be assigned a village. If you want to represent a certain village, you must state so when you get to this stage. This is on a first come first serve basis, so the quicker your matches are done, the more likely you are given the village you want to represent. Those who do not state who they want to represent will be given a village at random. This will not affect any real outcome and is only for aesthetic purposes. Only the Konohagakure, Sunagakure, Kirigakure, Kumogakure, and the Iwagakure villages are able to be chosen.
- The team members will be separated at this point and be placed into one of the three Final Groups.
- One member of each team will be in either Group A, Group B, or Group C.
- These groups will be created according to the number of rounds the members have won. This makes it fair so that the best face the best, and the weakest face the weakest.
- Each member will fight every other single member in their Group two times for a total of 10 rounds fought per player.
- The number of rounds won by each player will be added up with your other team member's wins and the total will be tallied for a possible total of 24 rounds won.
- The 2 teams with the most rounds won will receive 2 team points and move on to the finals.
Finals
- Two teams will compete at this stage.
- The same rules from The Round of 16 apply with the exception that games will last 5 rounds each instead of 3, for a total of 15 rounds per match.
- The team with the most rounds won will be declared the winners of this tournament and earn themselves the #1 team spot. They will gain 3 points. This team will be crowned with the rank of "The Legendary Sannin."
Points and Ranking
Points
- Points help us keep track of the best teams and players that will be invited to all-star tournaments in the future which will contain bigger prizes.
- You gain an automatic point for entering the tournament.
- For example, winning this tournament will gain your team 8 points overall.
Ranking
- Points will determine your placing in the final results of the tournament which will decide your rank.
- The reasoning for this ranking system is to place teams with others of similar skill-level.
- There will be team rankings and individual statistics for this tournament. However, individual stats in Team Ladder have very little importance. It is only to show who has the most positive record.
- Teams are ranked by number spot, while individuals are listed from most positive to least positive.
Team Ranking
Where your team stands in this tournament is completely dependent on your amount of points gained. The team with the most points are the top team, and every other team is listed below ranging from highest to lowest amount of points.
Individual Statistics
Your individual stats for this tournament depend on your WLR [Win/Loss Ratio]. For Example, if you win 7 rounds but lose 5 rounds, your WLR will be +2. The more positive you are, the higher you are on the leaderboard.

Conclusion
We want everyone to participate and have fun competing in these tournaments. Take your mind off the points and just have fun for the time-being. After all, the first couple of weeks, we will all just be learning to master the abilities of our preferred characters. We hope that you, the community, take interest in this Project. You will have plenty of time to create teams prior to the tournament starting. Make use of the time given after the game's release to gather members and get to bond and practice with them before this upcoming tournament. Depending on the outcome of this tournament, we will expand it to an extent where prizes will be given out. Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope you will support us.
