shika balance YES Ino banned...idk last night was a one time thing but since i've cooled down and thought about it, i havent really fought spam inos like that before. so in essence---no to Ino
i can deal with kunai spamming Inos or balance support Inos. even gaara isnt too bad because his is slow and sort of predictable thus if u take your time and analyze what your opponent is doing, gaaras balanced support kunai is easy to handle
its when u throw a KB explosive tag into the mix. the explosive tag shika provides is like a protective pamper on top of the spam layer and prevents you from actively punishing the spammer/player. This IMO should be removed. the second you press O to combo or do anything really...even on block...they can triangle+[] and BOOM...SB into U2/U3
spammers are one thing...
SKILLED spammers who KNOW what theyre doing and KNOW the ins and outs of spam are what make it hard as hell to deal with
and it isnt just Ino
Sai with Shika is dirty Shino with Shika is dirty Gaara with Shika is dirty Pain with his super fast iron rods kunai with Shika is dirty
...get the pattern?

Ino is a big problem her self, if you check the 2nd team tourney thread for 360, Ino did that to win, against me aswell in the semi finals. She won the first 2 games with both of us over 80% health, just jump block and didnt jutsu, ougi, or combo once. We traded off shuriken but since hers are poison they took down my health more then just more jump block.
It also happened in the first ps3 team tourney if you read what the guy who lost said about the match. It was really just a charged shuriken every 30 seconds and spam block every other time.

Also for reference i want to go on the record by saying...
i TRULY TRULY dont want to be viewed as whiny little girl, or a "cry moar nub" type of person. i havent fought a single cheap opponnent in any of these tournaments and i thank everyone that i've played for it.
I'm just expressing my opinions on this forum based on my experiences and what i've gone through.
i main sasori so i know the hurt people go through. the man is seriously powerful. but he definately has his flaws.
I have yet to find the flaw in Ino. i mean whats to stop someone from using Pain/Shika and playing PURE turtle?
i mean deidara/shika is pretty annoying but hell if i had to play PAIN/shika. jesus christ!
/end rant
im tired atm and ill give it a rest. im going on a tangent but u get my point. peace out...im going to sleep

It's completely understandable of what you're saying. No one looks at anyone as a whining little girl, at least I hope not, because we're just discussing and analyzing the broken mechanics of this game. It's true of what you said, because I've personally experienced it and it's just way too broken to do anything against it. That's why I brought it up in the first place.

Hmmm, Ino must be a recent thing. I don't play much anymore but when I did play a bunch back in October-November-December, she was never a problem. Heck, I mained her for awhile and never got a complaint.
As for Shika balance, I can totally understand all the concerns, however the situations describe make it seem like you're not playing any defense or evading at all. There are easy ways around it. Just treat it the same way you'd treat an awakened Naruto/Killer Bee or a Deidara spammer. Keep your distance, use your ninja-movement to evade them, spam your shuriken during movement if you feel it neccessary, and when they max out support drive keep an all-out defensive strategy going (w/a good guard support) to stop U3's from rushing you while in ninja-movement and just wait out their support drive.
Also keep in mind that with the limited cast in this tournament, an evasive strategy is even moreso effective against Shika balance. Aside from Shino, Naruto, Sasuke, and Ino (to some extent) most of the cast's chakra shurikens have considerably low tracking. And, in my experience, Sasuke's hits enough to cancel out Shika's kunai KB. We're not dealing with Sai, Deidara, Konan, or Minato in this tourney.
So it's powerful, but I don't think it deserves to be banned by any means. It's not impossible just very difficult.

Okay so from my personal opinion This is whats unbalanced for me
Ino as a main for both team and single games.
Sasori as a main only for team games, hes balanced in single games.
Itachi as main for single games, ig a character doesn't have a ranged jutsu, thats pretty much game once Itachi is in awakening.
Shikamaru as balanced support, because as main he does have enough flaws that are easily countered.
everything else is pretty much fair game for me.

Actually now that I think of it,
Shikamaru and Ino aren't really a big problem, or Sasori for that matter. Yes Sasori still has advantages over other characters but its not a god like character like i thought him to be a few days ago.
Itachi is the same, though for singles his awakening is way too over powered especially if ur characters doesnt have some sort of ranged jutsu.
though what might have to be banned is a certain play style. Which the majority of Ino users do use.
Its pretty much jump block and don't attack ever until the other guy does something, Ino will just sub or dodge with the jump-block and then throw a poison shuriken and just wait till the other person does something else.
Hmmm so what do you guys think, Banning that play style and the only spam shuriken into team ultimate play style, would pretty much fix the whole problem.
Also how about forcing the games to require a KO, that would stop the whole turtler problem as well.
The problem with these rules is that people don't have ways of recording the match and can then lie if they lost saying the other person was spamming and what not.
thoughts?

thats a great idea.... but like u said most ppl cant record the match.... take me for example... the only video racording source i have is my blackberry -.- so i cant take a vid and play since i need both my hands...
Requiring a KO is also a grat idea but alas the ame prob arises.

Sasori as a main only for team games, hes balanced in single games. This is the other way around. Balanced supports, Ranged support, Hidan support etc. is what makes it MUCH easier to keep his puppet down and control Sasori in teams. If his puppet isn't allowed to rise, he has absolutely no power. There is much more of a problem in Singles. Unless the opponent is a Kunai spamming Ino or Shino, he easily has an advantage over every other character. With no supports, he can just hold block and time out (not saying that it's hard to time out with other characters, it's extremely easy to, but at least they have to jump-block while Sasori only needs to hold block)

The problem with these rules is that people don't have ways of recording the match and can then lie if they lost saying the other person was spamming and what not. thoughts? Idk about banning a play-style. In my opinion this will cause a huge amount of complaints by banning it alone. (Personally, I don't do it unless I'm fighting someone else who's doing it) Also not everyone who does it does not play the same. Lot's of people will jump-block and kunai spam the entire game while others will use all the moves at different times. Also some people will use jump-block at certain times, especially while the opponent has his team bar full. Almost everyone does this. There will be lots of random accusations flying because the other person jump-blocked too much and it will hold up everything. Especially since less than 1% of people will actually record their matches. I also want to say, if you ban turtling, Sasori (or at least me) will completely dominate. When I play Sasori, no one even comes close to beating me unless they turtle hard. (not saying Sasori is overpowered, I'm just hawt ) As far as forcing KO, it would be the only real way to implement this rule, but it still shares many of the same problems. (above) But personally, everything you suggested would only benefit me, so I don't know why I'm arguing against it. lol EDIT- I say that banning Shikamaru & Gaara balanced will help this problem a lot. Kunai spammers rely on SB (strikeback) -> U1/U2/U3 (jutsu/ultimate/team jutsu) to deal their damage. If you take that away, kunai don't really do much damage and people are forced to actually play the game.
