If you don't follow football or just don't know this in a Pre-Season game(a game that is player that doesn't matter who wins or loses) -
The first quarter is when both teams have their good players in. Sometimes the second quarter for a little bit. Then they bring out the rookies or the players that aren't that good.
1st string-good players, 2nd string-ok players, 3rd string-bad players or rookies. They let the bad players play in Pre-Season just to let them practice against other teams since it doesn't count. Regular Season they just use 1st string.
If you don't live in California the game was on reallly late. It started 7:00pm in California. I got to the stadium at 3:00pm. They didn't let us in until 5:00pm.
They stadium is old looking. I heard they are going to build a new one soon.
A lot of people were there, for a Pre-Season game.
It was cold so I don't remeber everything from the game(such as how they scored). I was more shocked to see the 49ers beat the Bears - One of the best defences in the NFL - and beat them bad.
I had great seats. 8 rows away from the field. At about the 10-15 yard line. Go to Stub-Hub.com (I think that's how you spell it). Got $60 dollar tickets for $30. Great deals on that site.
They changed there mascot from some old guy to a much younger looking guy.
49ers defence killed the Bears running game. I remember one time the big screen showed the stats just before half(I think it was before half) and the Bears had 3 yards running and the 49ers had 40 something. The 49ers had good running and passing. Alex Smith was looking good, except he always ran to the right when he was going to pass. The wide reciver Antonio Bryant was really good. He wears Owens #81 when he played on the 49ers.
49ers 1st string did great against the Bears 1st string. The 49ers 2nd string played not too bad against the Bears 2nd string. 3rd string was ok too. The only one that is going to matter durring the main season is the 1st string(unless somebody gets hurt).
Scoring for the Bears- Who cares they only got 14 points.
Scoring for the 49ers -
3-They kicked a field goal.
7-Rex Grossman on the Bears fumbles the ball right after the snap and a 49ers defencive player picks it up and runs it in for a touch down. The extra point is good.
8-After this I was just so happy that the 49ers had beat the Bears best players that I didn't pay attention to how they scored, but I did see that they scored another touch down and tried for 2 and got it.
Final Score
Bears - 14 49ers- 28
