If you only watch the anime and/or aren't up to date on the manga, then don't read this thread.
Well, if CyberConnect2 continues to follow its trend of releasing a game every one to two years and assuming they'll keep everything from their current iteration, here are my predictions for new characters and features for NUNS3.
Well, the anime is just about to end a really bad filler arc and get into the beginning of The Meeting of the Five Kages arc. Here's what this means:
~ Danzo will be playable: I never liked Danzo and his fight in this arc creeps me out, but he could have a very interesting moveset.
~ Raikage will be playable: He's a brute with surprising speed. I think he'd be a lot of fun to play as. Like a mix of Killer Bee and Jugo I think. On flipside....
~Sasuke will have Susano'o: Ugh....
~ Kisame will either have some tweaks to his moveset or a really cool awakening: either way = Win!
~ New moves for Killer Bee: maybe we'll get a variation where he fights with Kisame's sword.
~Mizukage and Tsuchikage are playable: While they haven't had any big fights in the story yet, CyberConnect likes fan service so maybe.
~ New stages for the meeting hall of the five kages and outside where Sasuke and Danzo fight. Plus a forest stage where Killer Bee and Kisame Fight.
Now, assuming there aren't too many fillers and the anime actually gets to the Great War arc that the manga is currently in, here's what me might expect:
~ Kyuubi Control Naruto: Whether it be a totally new character or just a new awakening, this'll kick ass.
~ Either a stage on the giant turtle or a stage inside the waterfall. A stage inside Naruto would be great as well.
~ The return of Haku and Zabuza: yesssssss. Please CyberConnect?
~ Kankuro w/Sasori Puppet: Finally, Kankuro kicks some ass. Whether he uses this as a main puppet or an awakening would rock either way.
~ New UJ for Sai: Yin Yang punch of death!
~ Maybe, somehow, make Zetsu a playable character.
~ Depending on how far the manga goes and the anime follows, I'm really hoping to see Madara or Kabuto fight soon. They're new forms would kick ass.
Possible Gameplay changes:
~ Four Player: Please No. 8ing already has this down pact. CC2 tried this in NSUNH3 and it failed abysmally.
~ Tag Team between supports: Now this, this could work. It would make it more like MvC2/MvC3, but it would make it a lot more strategic than just calling out supports.
~ More limitations for Substituting and Jutsus: The clash of ninja series gets this right. There's no limitless substituting or easily spammable specials and because of this it's a pretty balanced, and easily competitive series. Go play any CoN game and learn something CC2.
My number one, biggest request for CC2, however, is a good online system. I trust CC2 when it comes to fan service and graphics, but they need to work on online. Especially in this day in age. Allow for rooms, spectating, and better handling of disconnections. You know, stuff that every other fighting game already does well.
